Ceiling Installation
Created from repurposed wooden chimes and hand-dyed paper discs in gradients of purple and pink. The display was adapted from a previous structure by removing acrylic elements and transforming it into a lightweight, textural composition.
Repurposed and Reimagined
Concept & Design
Working from provided direction, I adjusted the layout and scale to fit the ceiling height and flow of the space, refining proportions to ensure the installation felt balanced and dynamic from every angle.
Material Selection
Using repurposed wood from an older display, I sourced and dip-dyed paper discs to achieve smooth ombre transitions and cohesive color variation while keeping materials lightweight and sustainable.
Final Installation
I fabricated, assembled, and installed the entire display independently, stringing and suspending each paper tendril by hand to create a layered, fluid effect.
Gorgeous
Used every inch of the workspace to string over 100 tendrils with over 500 evenly spaced paper discs.
